Took this picture in the parking lot of the Azteca Mexican resturant off of Woodlawn Road in Charlotte. I really can’t think of a context that makes this make any sense for a license plate. If you have any ideas feel free to share them.

Just a Dab of what?

In an argument with your girlfriend on the paternity of her new born? Want to make a definitive statement that says “I am not the father!” Well, you’re in luck, because the North Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles has a wide array of vanity license plates to help you get your point across. Just take a look at this purchased by one of our satisfied customers.

You Da Dad!
You’ll have to forgive the poor picture quality, but I saw this while driving and had to take the picture.

This vanity plate either belongs to an extra large wrestler or a 2 time champ. Who knows?

There is nothing really surprising about this article, other than the getaway vehicle, a U-Haul truck. I understand that they were stealing large items, but let’s get real for a moment. Every U-Haul I have ever rented has been a death trap. (In the interest of full disclosure I have rented two). I am willing to bet the wreck that ended the chase had nothing to with speed, but everything to do with bad tires. Dude, next time rent a Ryder, or make your escape on foot, but please don’t take the U-Haul.

What’s up Gaston County? Haven’t done anything to live up to that toothless stereo type lately? How ’bout a good ol’ fashioned headbutting? Just go find your wife, mother, or significant other and have at it.
So I sat down to read my RSS feed from the Gaston Gazette and I was surprised to find two separate instances of assault by headbutt on the same day. What are the odds? Headbutting someone that you are not in life or death combat with just seems unnecessary. So, on the one hand and glad to have something to blog about and on the other I am very disappointed.

I have included a large image this time because this one of the more expressive vehicles I have been behind. We start with the Confederate States flag in the upper left, the “Where’s the fence?” and “OBX” stickers near the spare tire, the Carolina Panthers emblem, the “WFL” license plate, and finally the skull hitch.
I am not really sure what “WFL” is short for but I am pretty sure it is not “Waiting for Love” or “Women’s Football League”.

This post is old. I mean really old. I wrote it back when the movie was in the theaters. Yea, I know I am a little late, but I didn’t want to make any trouble while the Olympics were going on…. Okay. I admit it I am lazy, but the DVD comes out in about a month, so this is some what relevant.
Friday night I took my daughter to see Kung Fu Panda, which was a lot better than I thought it would be. (The previews left a stench in the theater when I first saw them.) While we were chomping our pop corn, a peculiar trend came to light, all of the villagers were pigs. All of the main characters were different animals like tigers, snake, monkey, rhinos, but the common people were all pigs. When this comes out on DVD pay attention.
So what is the message here? That the Chinese people are mindless herd? You have to be different in order to succeed? Or is it something much more subtle. I believe it was probably easier (cheaper) to animate the same character over and over.

I have to admit that all I know about the holistic approach to living I learned from Dirk Gently. That’s why I found it all that more amusing when I found myself behind the Pawtique van and its holistic pet shoppe. I wonder if they have billed an island trip as a part of solving the whole problem.

I have notice that just about every day I get behind at least one car with a vanity plate on it. So I decide that when I could I would snap a pic a keep a little video journal. Here is a Lexus I got behind near Charlotte-Douglas International airport. I wonder if they are still feeling the love?
